WW reminder, and another new fanlisting ... :)
Don't forget to tune
into The West Wing once again this Wednesday (October 1). Annabeth
will be appearing in this episode, which will be the conclusion to the
season premiere. A summary of the episode follows:
-----
Originally from NBC (Courtesy of The
West Wing Continuity Guide)
"The Dogs of
War"
Tense Bartlet and world await word of his kidnapped daughter while President decides to attack
Qumar;
John Goodman guest-stars
The international crisis concerning the terrorist abduction of Bartlet's (Martin Sheen)
daughter Zoey (Elisabeth Moss) reaches critical mass as Walken (guest star John Goodman, "Roseanne")
presides over the bombardment of Qumari terrorist camps while the kidnappers issue a 24-hour deadline for
the unlikely removal of American troops from Qumar. Elsewhere, Josh (Bradley Whitford) fumes over his
perceived notion that the Republicans will exploit and push forward their own legislative agenda while
Toby (Richard Schiff) visits his newborn twins -- even as he oversees the drafting of two presidential
speeches that hinge on Zoey's fate.

The always talented Kristi (No
Frickin' Way / Absolute
Annabeth / Teso's Art)
has opened a new fanlisting dedicated to Annabeth's character, Trish,
from the film SLC Punk!: I
Like Animals.

September 27, 2003 A
forum update ... :)
Since the closure of the
Simply Annabeth Forum, as well as the closure of The X-Files'
Official Site Message Board, many of you have been asking about additional
Annabeth-centric Message Boards and/or Forums to frequent.
A new (but actually
long-existing) one has been
brought to my attention: Club
de Monica's (named after Special Agent Monica Reyes, Annabeth's
character on The X-Files). Be sure to check it out.

Have a great day! :)

As you probably noticed,
I've changed the design of the site a bit - adding a bit more color.
Navigation/sections still remain the same. Hope you'll like the new
look. :) (You might need to hit "Refresh" in your browser in
order to see the changes).
And of course ...
tonight is the season premiere of The West Wing, in
which Annabeth will make her debut as President Bartlet's (Martin
Sheen) eldest daughter, Elizabeth Bartlet Westin. :) Don't

September 16, 2003 Some
West Wing reminders ... :)
The official episode summary to
The West Wing season opener is as follows (contains minor
spoliers):
-----
Originally from NBC (Courtesy of The
West Wing Continuity Guide)
"7A WF 83429" (Season Premiere)
Season premiere resumes from last year's finale as search goes on for
President's abducted daughter while rival agendas clash; John
Goodman and Annabeth Gish guest-star.
Resuming from last season's cliffhanger, the world watches the desperate search for the President's (Martin Sheen)
abducted daughter while rival administrations form an uneasy alliance as they weigh options that might include a
preemptive military strike at terrorist targets - a move that could doom the victim. After President Bartlet
invoked the 25th Amendment, House Speaker Walken (guest star John Goodman,
Roseanne) addresses the nation after the
news breaks about Bartlet's assassination of a Qumari terrorist leader last year, more anti-American violence occurs
overseas and the weary President gathers his family at the White House
- but faces losing their respect after news
reports of the Qumari incident. Annabeth Gish (The X-Files) guest stars as Elizabeth, Bartlet's oldest daughter.
John Spencer, Bradley Whitford, Richard Schiff, Allison Janney, Dule Hill, Janel Moloney, Stockard Channing, Joshua
Malina and Lily Tomlin also star.

As a prelude to next week's season premiere, The West Wing
re-airs last season's finale this Wednesday (September 17th) at 9 p.m. on NBC. Episode is:
"Twenty-Five." You won't want to miss this!

Have a great day! :)

September 11, 2003 Remembering
September 11, 2001 ...
Today is the two year
anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks on New York and
Washington D.C. It seems hard to believe two years have passed. The
events of that day still remain so painfully vivid and continue to
stir such raw emotion - almost as if it were only yesterday. During your time today,
I hope you might take a moment to remember those lost.
Some of you may remember
my posting of the poem below on last year's anniversary, when I was
still at the Simply Annabeth Forum. To this day, I have never
found a tribute that I feel is more moving, poignant and touching than
the one below. This poem continues to touch me very deeply each time I
read it.
In remembrance of those
lost and those left behind
on September 11, 2001 ....

September 8, 2003 A
new clips section ... :)
Grilka has done a
sampling of Annabeth/Monica Reyes-centric clips from some Season 9
episodes of The X-Files. (These clips are slightly different
than the larger sampling of X-Files clips located at Megan's Frenzy
Site). I've added them to the "Multimedia/T.V. Shows & Other Misc." section of
this site. Check it out.
(Many, many thanks to Grilka! :) )

"You know
it's hard to work with one of People magazine's 50 most beautiful people,
and to have to dance salsa with him, very close. Pity party!" (Annabeth, on working with Kamar de los Reyes on

September 5, 2003 September
Q&A's ... :)
Annabeth has sent along her answers for the questions submitted for the month of
September. I've listed them below,
and I've also archived them under "Messages from Annabeth". Enjoy! :)
----------
Name: Julie
Question: What’s your favorite place in the whole world and why?
Annabeth's Answer: Oh no, forgive me but I have to say it is [being] next to my husband-to-be. Anywhere I go with him,
whether it is traveling to another country or going to the grocery store, it is exactly where I want to be and it is
the best place in that moment. Yes, I know that is just about the cheeziest answer ever (I’m even rolling my eyes as
I write this), and I hate to sound like a romantic fool, but it’s the truest thing for me right now. He is my
favorite place. Now for a less woman-in-love type of answer and a more geographical one ....
High up in the Sangre de
Cristo Mountains in New Mexico the air is the freshest and the sky is the bluest I’ve ever seen. The aspen and pine
trees wave a cool breeze across your face and everything feels clean and everything in your mind becomes clear.
For urban flavor I love London and for sensual culture I love Italy.
----------
Name: Grilka
Question: If you could select your next "leading man" in a movie, who would you choose and why?
Annabeth's Answer: How about Hugh Jackman or Luke Wilson. Or Ed Harris. Or Anthony Hopkins (he’s such an amazing
actor). Or Denzel Washington. Or Benecio Del Toro. I like men who have flavor and skill and soul! Bring em on!!! I’m
ready to play in that professional arena.

September 4, 2003 Just
a final word on the TYA campaign, and a tiny bit of site admin ... :)
The Thank
You, Annabeth (TYA) campaign has officially wrapped up. In total,
the project raised just
over $2000 (US). This included an $1800 (US) donation to the
Children's Hospital of New Mexico (among others). A summary of all the
final details can be found at TYA.
Many, many kudos and thanks must
be given to the TYA Team - Deslea, Kristen K2 and Shahara Zade - for
their incredible perseverance and dedication to making this campaign such a
success - particularly since it took place long after most of the X-Files
"Thank You"/commemorative campaigns had been completed.
And, equally as many
thanks must given to all of you for continuing to generously show your support. I
know I've said this before, but it is definitely worth repeating: this could
not have been done without you! Thank you all! :)

Everyone have a great
day! :)

Julie and Grilka have
worked in tandem to send along some beautiful yet rare promo pics of

Against the Odds. (Thanks so much to Julie and Grilka! :) )

Becky (Buy for Bethie /
Bethie Believers) has handed over the Desert Bloom Fanlisting to Sabrina
(erfalathiel.de). Fellow
Webmasters will want to update their links to: www.erfalathiel.de/fl/db.

The always talented and
creative Kristi (Absolute
Annabeth / No Frickin' Way
/ Teso's Art) has created
another site dedicated to all Annabeth-related Fanlistings: Just
Gish. Be sure to check it out! :)

And finally, just a
reminder that The West Wing re-airs Wednesday night (Sept. 3) at
9 p.m. on NBC. Episode is: "Life on Mars."
Three weeks until
the season premiere ... :)
