Hi folks!
Well, August was a pretty hectic month. What with leaving Lear to go to Halifax, Nova Scotia to work on a
Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie, and struggling through the first months of a pregnancy it was a rollercoaster
of a late summer!
Yep, you read right - I'm pregnant, or rather I should say, Wade and I are pregnant since he had a
little something to do with my current state ... (My pregnancy was the other not-so-insignificant circumstance
involved in my withdrawal from the play - it was simply too difficult to swim in the deep Shakespearean waters
with the morning sickness and fatigue I was feeling). We are thrilled, excited, terrified, all of the
normal feelings of overwhelm and joy I think most couples go through on the baby ride. We are due in January so as
we move into Autumn now we will have some time to nest and prepare our lives and our home for a little baby.
I don't know when the Hallmark movie will air, but it is tentatively called Candles on Bay Street and it is a
guaranteed hankie movie ... It also stars Alicia Silverstone.
Brotherhood has three more episodes of the first season to air, with the season finale on
September 24th. It's a particularly great episode and for those of you who are watching, it promises
good drama, conflict and story! No news yet if there will be a second season of the show ... hard to believe,
but it's struggling to keep good numbers ... Any support helps from those of you who genuinely want it to continue ...
E-mail Showtime, tell your friends, etc. ...
On another note, I want to acknowledge the life and spirit of a very special woman. A dear friend of ours,
Marni Levine lost her battle to cancer last week and so many people are grieving the loss of her presence on
this planet. A beautiful memorial to her can be seen at
http://kravmaga.com/krav01.html. She is
an example to me of a woman who embodies courage, beauty, strength, and the true essence of motherhood. We will miss her greatly.
Be well and take care,
Annabeth
