Annabeth Desperation
mention
and DVD news ... ...
This week's U.S. issue of TV Guide (March 17 - April 2, 2006) has a small mention of Annabeth in
Desperation.
Our great thanks to Vickie
for sending along a scan of the article (below).

Stephen King's Desperation
By Ileane Rudolph
Here's a shocker: ABC's latest adaptation of a Stephen King novel features another creepy battle between good and evil. This time the
setting is the isolated town of Desperation, Nevada, where an ancient body-hopping demon named Tak is butchering anyone in his path. In
Stephen King's Desperation, airing [Tuesday, May 23rd], Ron Perlman plays the unfortunate cop who becomes
possessed by Tak, and only a motley crew of travelers can stop the
demon. They include a burned-out writer (Tom Skerritt), his aide
(Steven Weber), a young wife (Annabeth Gish), and a devoutly
religious 11-year-old-boy (Shane Haboucha). "It's incredibly scary,"
says executive producer Mark Sennet. When Gish's character stumbles
across a gory pile of Tak's victims, "her scream is as good as Jamie
Lee Curtis' [from Halloween]."

Additionally, director Mick Garris made an appearance at the recent
Fangoria Weekend
of Horrors convention in Chicago, IL, where he revealed there will
be a follow-up DVD release of Desperation from Lions Gate Films.
Thanks to our good friend, Rob G., over at Icons of Fright for
covering the convention and sharing this bit of news.

Message from Annabeth ...
Annabeth has sent along a note of thanks and appreciation for the
birthday greetings received as well as sharing some additional
insight
as to her upcoming projects this Spring and Summer.
Enjoy!
----------
Hi everyone!
Another year passed -- I simply can't believe how very fast time moves these days .... My birthday was spent in bed
with a sinus and ear infection -- I've never had either one before ... so it was a pretty quiet birthday.
Nonetheless I was warmed by the book of wishes and greetings this year. Each year I marvel at the qualities of
kindness and thoughtfulness that are brought together through this website and the threading that can occur between
people so far and wide. The world is so big and yet so small! How good to know we have friends among us
wherever we may be .... Thank you for the collection of thoughts and good wishes -- again, they come right back to you from me.
I'm really excited for everyone to see the new projects airing this Spring/Summer.
Last year I grew in so many ways as an actress and I hope that growth is reflected in the performances .... As you know,
"Desperation" airs on Wednesday, May 18th on ABC and "Brotherhood" will begin to air on Showtime on Sunday, July 9th @ 10:00 pm ....
Finally, things are emerging .... I hope everyone is well and happy ... Happy Vernal Equinox.
May Spring spring into our open hearts ...
xo,
Annabeth
