News / Archive - January 2003

January 30, 2003

TV-Now.com has updated Annabeth's U.S. television schedule for the next month (through February 28th). There are some excellent opportunities to check out some of her great work both on regular cable (The Last Supper on FX Network; True Women on Lifetime Movie Network), and also premium cable (Desert Bloom on Encore; Pursuit of Happiness on The Movie Channel and Starz!; Race to Space and To Live Again on HBO).

If you can, set those VCRs! :)

Some more wonderful pics from the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days premiere. :)

Additional pictures come courtesy of bigpicturesusa.com.

Enjoy! :)

January 28, 2003

Great new pics today from the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days premiere Monday night, January 27, 2003 at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. :)

Pictures come courtesy of: rexfeatures.com; Getty Images; Globe Photos; London Features International, Ltd; dailyceleb.com; mptv.net.

(**NOTE: There are a couple additional pics at the various sites that I did not use -- mostly because I can only access the thumbnails. So, feel free to surf the above sites if you want to see additional shots.)

January 24, 2003 -- Revised (to Correct Date/Location)

I came across these pics from rexfeatures.com and Getty Images of Annabeth from the Planned Parenthood Gala Dinner commemorating the 30th anniversary of the historic Roe v. Wade decision (which legalized abortion in the United States) held this past Tuesday, January 21st at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. :)

Some good tidbits today ...

Annabeth is scheduled to attend the premiere of the new movie, How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days (starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey), this coming Monday, January 27th at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. Photos from the event will surely hit the wires, and hopefully we'll have some great new shots of Annabeth out n' about. :) Many thanks to Sabrina and alfornos at the Haven Message Board for the heads-up! :)

Also, Sabrina has been kind enough to make an audio file (.wav file) of the short interview with Annabeth on The X-Files' DVD release of the finale episode, "The Truth" (pics of which were posted last week). You can listen to the clip here. (Depending on your system settings, you will need either QuickTime, RealMedia or Windows Media Player to listen to the clip, and WinZip to download it.)

Thanks so much Sabrina and alfornos! :)

As promised, Pursuit of Happiness screen caps are now up, which you can see here! :)

It's worth noting that last year at this time, Annabeth won Best Actress for her role as Marissa Kiley in Pursuit of Happiness at the 2002 SLAMDUNK Film Festival -- which is known as the alternative showcase to Robert Redford's annual Sundance Film Festival. (On a personal note, I really think this is a great film, and I enjoyed seeing Annabeth in this sort of romantic-comedy type lead. I highly recommend it. If you would like to learn more about the film, be sure to check out the Pursuit of Happiness Official Site.) :)

Thanks Grilka for the great caps! :)

January 21, 2003 -- Second Update

Hiding Out screen caps are now up, which you can see here! :)

Thanks to Grilka! :)

January 21, 2003

Happy new week everyone ... I have posted Grilka's Coupe de Ville screen capshere. Am working through Hiding Out and Pursuit of Happiness. :)

Thanks as always to Grilka! :)

January 16, 2003

Grilka remains on a roll as she has sent along a picture from the October 30, 1989 US Weekly article on Annabeth. Some of you may have seen this picture before. It is a great one. :) Grilka has also kindly offered to transcribe the article, so look for that to be coming along. (**Note: I've left this pic in a large format, so it may take a minute or two to download.)

Julie (from the Simply Annabeth Forum) found a different version of the Pursuit of Happiness poster, which is really great!

And, Sabrina has made some screen caps from a behind-the-scenes interview with Annabeth on The X-Files' DVD release of the finale episode, "The Truth" (which is currently available overseas, but has not been released here in the U.S.).

Thanks to Grilka, Julie and Sabrina! :)

January 15, 2003

Couple of more great items compliments of Grilka. :) These are scans of the Annabeth/Monica Reyes trading cards from the Inkworks set(s) for Seasons 8 of The X-Files.

Still working on those screen captures for Coupe de Ville, Hiding Out and Pursuit of Happiness, but it might be next week before I can post them (have to do a bit of studying for a certification I am trying to earn). But I'll let you know as soon as they are posted! :)

January 13, 2003

Am back from a week-long seminar, and have some great goodies to share ...

First, Sabrina (from the Simply Annabeth Forum and erfalathiel.de) sent in some shots of Annabeth from The X-Files 200th Episode Party back in April 2002. These are the highest quality shots I have seen. Thank you Sabrina! :)

Second, Grilka sent in a couple of the accompanying photos for the April 1990 article in Mademoiselle, which was posted last week. And, she also had promotional picture from a television movie Annabeth did in 1991 called "The Last To Go." Thank you, Grilka! :)

Third, AN75 sent in another promo shot from The X-Files, which actually appeared in The X-Files Official Magazine. Thank you, AN75! :)

All the new pics have been archived in the Photo Gallery.

And ... Grilka has done screen captures for Coupe de Ville, Hiding Out and Pursuit of Happiness. I'm hopeful to have those up and archived by the end of the week. Stay tuned! (And thanks again, Grilka! :) )

January 3, 2003

A few more tidbits to share today ....

Grilka (from the Simply Annabeth Forum) was kind enough to transcribe an older article on Annabeth, which was originally featured in the April 1990 issue of Mademoiselle. You can read it here.

And the ever-awesome AN75 has once again sent in some more pictures scanned from the The X-Files Official Magazine(s). Many of these are familiar, but it is always great to see them again. :)

Top Row (L to R): at the Wrap Party; picture from The Truth; picture from Sunshine Days || Bottom Row (L to R): promo picture from Sunshine Days; promo picture from Nothing Important Happened Today I.

The pics/article have been archived as well.

Many, many thanks to Grilka and AN75! :)

January 2, 2003

Happy 2003 to everyone! Hope all of you had a good, safe holiday. :) I have a couple of new items to share ...

First, thanks very much to anyfrigginway (from the Simply Annabeth Forum), these are a pair of screen shots from the Fox 2001-02 holiday promo spot that Annabeth did last year. I only saw the spot air once (it was quite short, so much so that if you blinked you probably missed it. LOL!). I've never seen the actual clip archived, but if you have, feel free to drop me a note! As best I can remember, the message was (with a post-September 11th focus): "To our troops away from home, we are grateful for your courage."

Second, thanks very much to AN75 (also from the Simply Annabeth Forum), these are a couple of additional X-Files promo/set pictures scanned from the The X-Files Official Magazine(s).

From Left to Right: on the set of Audrey Pauley; on the set of Audrey Pauley; picture from The Truth; Annabeth with her stunt double on the set of The Truth; on the set of Nothing Important Happened Today II.

And lastly, AN75 also sent in a small article from last summer from the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, which you can see here.

The pics and article have been archived. Enjoy! :)
