Just a note ... :)I'm
off for a few days on a snowboarding adventure. :) But, please do
continue to send along your birthday greetings for Annabeth - March
7th will be here before you know it! :) Thanks to everyone who has
sent along their greetings and artwork - it's shaping up to be another
great book!
||
-----
To submit a birthday greeting (non-artwork) for Annabeth:
1) Fill out the Greetings Form
2) Deadline for Submissions: March 7, 2004
----------
To submit a piece of artwork, please keep in mind the following:
1) I will need to print the artwork out here on my end, so please try
to keep the colors a bit classic/simple so it will
look good on paper (as opposed to electronic form).
2) Also, if you do artwork, make sure it is sized large enough to be printed out, but not too large
(i.e., keep the file under 1 MB in size). Somewhere in the 400 x 500 pixel range (roughly 5 x 7 inches) is a
good size. Artwork file formats need to be:
IBM/PC/RGB Color Format
(No Macintosh/CMYK)
.jpg (.jpeg), or
.tif (.tiff), or
.pdf (PDF/Adobe Acrobat)
.doc (Microsoft Word)
Artwork ONLY is to be forwarded to: administrator@allthingsannabeth.com
If you have a Web site, and would prefer to upload your artwork to your site for me to download, please send the
link to your artwork to: administrator@allthingsannabeth.com
Written greetings sent to this e-mail address will be deleted (unless
it is part of/incorporated into the artwork). You must complete the
Greetings Form
if you wish to only send a written greeting with no artwork.
3) Deadline for Art Submissions: March 7, 2004
|| Have a great day!

Clarifying X-Files
S9 DVD rumors, ongoing collection of birthday greetings ... :)Disregard the news that the release date for The X-Files Season 9 on Region 1 DVD
has been pushed
back to November 2004. This is indeed a rumor. TVShowsonDVD.com
have done their best to try and sort fact from fiction, including posting the
new S9 box set cover art. :) Great thanks to Kristi (No
Frickin' Way / Absolute
Annabeth) for the heads-up on the latest news. :)

A thank you from Futures
for Children ... :)Following up on the recent donation to Futures
for Children, Carolyn Clark Beedle, Vice President of Marketing and Development,
sent along the following thank you letter to the Buy for
Bethie affiliates as well as the listed donors of the '03-'04
BFB/Futures
for Children Campaign. She has kindly given permission to re-post the letter
for all those who may have donated
anonymously to the campaign, as well as for the great number of you who made
purchases through the BFB/amazon.com stores (which, in some ways, is
also anonymous). :) Everyone's contributions were so much
appreciated. Thank you again to everyone for all your generous
support! :)
-----
On behalf of everyone at Futures for Children, I would like to thank you for your thoughtful and sincerely generous
combined gift of $584.30 and congratulate your innovative approach to support. Annabeth should be proud of each of
you and your charitable efforts on her behalf.
You would be amazed how far this amount can go in assuring that Native American children receive a quality education
and learn leadership skills. The overwhelmingly positive responses to the FFC program from involved students inspire
us to research and implement new and innovative educational techniques, as well as reach out to increasing numbers of
Native American students and communities.
Today we are experiencing a higher rate of success in implementing our programs and services than ever before.
95-97% of Futures students graduated or were promoted this year, a majority of our students are seriously considering
attending post-secondary institutions, and Futures mentors vigorously advocate their involvement in the Friendship
program increasing in number to nearly 1800 this year from all over the world.
The success of Futures for Children is due to the support of people like Annabeth and you all, and we are encouraged
to continue to provide excellent services and programs to benefit Native American children.
Please be assured that your partnership is producing very effective results in improving the lives of so many.
This is such a great satisfaction to all of us and we hope especially for you who help turn dreams into reality.
We would love to introduce you to Futures students and staff if you are ever in our part of the world.
Thank you again so much for your wonderful gift, and we look forward to sharing with you stories of our ongoing
success in the coming years. Check the Futures for Children website www.futuresforchildren.org for latest
information, and if any of you would like to become a mentor to a Native American student, please contact me
directly.
With great appreciation,
Carolyn Clark Beedle
VP, Marketing/Development

February 13, 2004 - SECOND UPDATE
BFB/Futures for Children
Campaign Totals ... :)Becky (Bethie
Believers / Buy for Bethie)
has just announced the grand total for the 2003-2004 BFB/Futures for
Children Campaign: $584.30 (USD) - 39% more than the original goal! Becky
has been working directly with Carolyn Clark Beedle, Vice President of
Marketing and Development for Futures
for Children, to complete the details of transferring this year's
monies to FFC, and she will continue to work with Carolyn in the coming
weeks to send thanks
to everyone for their contributions and donations. Thank you once again
to all for making the first BFB campaign a wonderful success! And
special kudos to Becky for all of her dedication and hard work in
managing the campaign from start to finish! :) || "[Annabeth] is a mentor to a Native American
child .... She has been very supportive in her short time of
association with us, and we truly appreciate her sharing [Futures for
Children] with
others." (Carolyn Clark Beedle, Vice President of Marketing and

3rd Annual Birthday Greetings for Annabeth ... :)As many of you
know, Annabeth will be celebrating her 33rd birthday next month. In addition to the donation to
Futures for Children
(which is being made via Buy for
Bethie), I'd also like to continue the tradition of sending along a
Book of Birthday Greetings. Annabeth was quite touched by last year's book, so if you would
like to send along your best wishes and b-day greetings to her once again this year, instructions are listed
at the end of this update.
||
Also, special for this year, an artist friend and fellow member of ATA
has very kindly and graciously donated her time and talent to
create a piece to present to Annabeth on behalf of the ATA community. It will be a
hand-painted 6-inch by 6-inch tile that features a
rendering of Red River Canyon in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Annabeth's home state of New Mexico.
The inscription on the back of the tile will read: "In celebration of your 33rd birthday … Best wishes always from your friends at
ATA." Sincerest thanks to our good friend Vickie for offering to create such a unique and inspirational piece
to be presented to Annabeth this year on behalf of everyone. :)
(A version of the image below is what is being used as the inspiration
for what will be hand-painted onto the
tile. Courtesy of Vickie & Corbis Images)

This year's birthday package is shaping up to be
uniquely special - don't miss the opportunity to participate! :)

February 12, 2004 A
heads-up from Annabeth ... :)
Exchanged short
correspondence with Annabeth today in which she advised that the
Hallmark Channel has tentatively set May 9th as the premiere date for Liberty
Street. This could be subject to change, but it looks as though
we'll be having a new dose of Annabeth come May. :) Set your VCRs ...
tentatively, anyway. :) Additional details will be confirmed via HallmarkChannel.com.
And, due to Annabeth's
very full shooting schedule these past couple of months, we will be
doing a "combo" Q&A for January and February (that is,
one set of questions will be for both months). Rest assured she's still working on
them ... so continue to stay tuned. :)
||
Have a great day! :)

February 7, 2004 Just
want to thank everyone for their additional contributions to the 2004
BFB/Futures for Children Campaign. We have exceeded the original
goal! Thanks to all for your generous support - you have made this
campaign a great success and it could not have been done without you! :)

Have a great day! :)
