- Television for Women Biography - Annabeth Gish Annabeth Gish is one of the most consistently impressive and diverse young actresses working today. She has just begun working on the Bruce Beresford thriller, Double Jeopardy, co-starring Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd and will next be seen in SLC Punk!, executive produced by Jan De Bont. Most recently, Gish was seen starring in the CBS telefilm To Live Again with Bonnie Bedilia, and in the CBS mini-series True Women opposite Dana Delaney, Tina Majorino and Angelina Jolie. Gish came to the attention of critics and moviegoers at the age of 13 in her first movie, Desert Bloom. She went on to star in the acclaimed Mystic Pizza before taking a break from her career to study at Duke [University], where she spent four years earning her Cum Laude degree in English. Upon returning to Los Angeles, she was immediately cast opposite Kevin Costner in Lawrence Kasden's Wyatt Earp and in the starring role of Mrs. Rhett Butler in the CBS mini-series Scarlett. Other film credits include Nixon, for director Oliver Stone; Ted Demme's Beautiful Girls, opposite Timothy Hutton and Natalie Portman; Stacy Title's black comedy The Last Supper, for which she received critical acclaim; Joe Roth's road comedy Coupe de Ville, opposite Alan Arkin; the comedy Shag, with Bridget Fonda, and Steel with Shaquille O'Neal. Gish's numerous television credits include the telefilms What Love Sees and Someone You Know, both for CBS.
